I read that the Crowbar has been replaced with hatchet. That is correct, right?

When I find a crowbar I tend to use it after the 1.7.2.5 update that lets you switch to crowbar with 'f' without dropping or moving the primary weapon into your bag.

My question is: Can we have the crowbar back ?
My second question is: The crowbar doesn't do as much dmg as the hatchet, can the damage it does be increased without a client-side patch?
