No idea what’s posting to the DB, but in another PVP focused game I've played I've received stats on kills I've made. Things like:

Damage done by user
Final blow
Weapon/s used
Location
Time/Date

And the best bit for bragging rights was the loot that dropped.

These were received as in-game mails which were then exported to clan boards but I guess a query over the DB posting to the stat site eliminates the need.

Wondering if there's scope to include something like that in addition to the current stats without affecting the DB performance?

Unfortunately DayZ (or the private package) doesnt record/report these types of stats/information. I would LOVE to have stats that show a users "Favorite Weapon" or "Weapon Killed By Most". These stats just do not exist in the database itself. However, Seaweed and I will look into logging, and then parsing the log files and building stats based on the logs themselves. This isnt high priority but it would be amazing to have for sure.

But even the logs can report false information. I have made a kill and someone else was credited for it. Also, Seaweed blew up Limbless once with a grenade and it said I killed him with a DMR....

Yup unfortunately as omen says in terms of what's already in the DB we're pretty much using everything (there's a distanceFoot value which is bugged but will hopefully work soon).

I have been thinking of a way of manually getting some extra stats from the game recently. It's not possible to have the game insert any nonstandard DB information but it may be possible for us to log kill messages to text files and parse those into the database. This would mean we could show cool things like your longest recorded kill, and who killed who on a particular day with what gun etc. The kill messages themselves aren't exactly reliable though I'd say I only see one for a third of my kills at best

I'm assuming this request is inspired by Eve killboards right? God said you play, I don't play myself but limbless_torso probably has more hours logged on Eve than he does IRL now. He's made sure I'm somewhat familiar with a lot of the game mechanics, and killboards would definitely be an awesome addition to DayZ. One thing I do definitely want to work on soon is more squad integration on the forums, after that we can have combined stats for squads too.

Once we get the unique IDs matching more accurately, I can work on squad stats and squad info etc
