This has always been a heated topic whenever its brought up but, I would really like guns to be fitted on the biplane once more, just a Saw or something that does less damage, a lot of people cry op but tbh without cross-hairs I think it will be balanced?

Just a fun idea I guess I just miss the old plane dogfights :p

I'd like to see this again, makes for some interesting situations when both planes meet in the air it also takes some skill without the crosshairs preventing it from being OP imo.

Guns on planes is good makes people risk their planes more to try and get kills resulting in crashes and having the planes circulate more often

A Biplane can still ram a Helicopter or Another Aeroplane even without the guns if they want to take it down badly enough.(it already happened) Also lack of crosshairs is no big deal when using automatic weaponry from a plane when you see where it hits .

The OP factor is more in that for ground forces its really hard to take down a plane without surface-air missiles and a plane can just take them down with machine-gun thanks to the game's LOD that makes hiding beneath cover very hard.

Hunter you have never tried to use the plane to shoot someone, its extremely difficult and also as yesterdays excursion with the Mr's proves you can shoot down the plane from the ground, I agree with Bernard having Guns makes you as a pilot try more dangerous maneuvers to get kills which will often result in a crash, I think it will be good but meh if people still cry op I guess its true..

I think its Not op since the ammunition is Not infinite! Its the same with the huey everybody think its op because of the m240s. But try to Hit someone without using 800 rounds, its Not that easy!!

Ye, I agree, also the gun is fixed so you have to aim the plane at what you want to shoot, so I thinks its balanced :/

i generally agree with mr brown and shortboy, i would just add that the little bird would become even weaker.

The little bird is still arguably the most "profitable" air vehicle of the three.
Shooting from a plane with cross-hairs is hard as fuck. Shooting without is gonna be even harder. You really need to have tried before you can comment.

Currently the plane really not that effective in combat, especially as a lot of the players on the server understand the best ways to counter one, so an incentive to use one in combat would be nice.

Last night ICD/ST had the plane and it became hard to see it as a threat.
Having a gun of some sort would only serve to make the server more exciting.

+1 for fixed gun and also +1 for the Parachute Motorcycle idea when ejecting from Biplanes
