Post subject:  How The New Patch Rollout is Going to Go Down
Thought I'd post some information here, its nothing I haven't mentioned elsewhere but I know everyone doesn't read everything on the forums.

When the new patch is released I will be installing it on the server as soon as it is available. This is also going to mean some changes that might upset some of you unfortunately.

[*]There will be no mods initially - this means no bases
[*]All survivors gear will be reset, I think I will probably also stick you all back on the coast.
[*]All existing tents will be removed
[*]All existing vehicles will be removed and respawned
[*]No player statistics will be affected

I will back up the bases you guys have constructed of course and once the basebuilding mod is back and working I will be able to add them in again.

I need to do all of the above because most of our mods are going to require changes and recoding to add back in. There are also some big changes to the loot tables in the new patch and I want to see how balanced these tables are before I start changing them again. To do this I can't have people still carrying their DMR they got out their tent or had on them before the patch was released.

I understand some of you are going to be annoyed on release day to find yourself back on the coast with no gear. Please remember that the whole server is in the same boat. And that it is for the greater good of the server overall that we begin from a fresh, before you complain at me about losing an item or your base.

I can deal with this, the new patch looks like it could be good anyway. Any idea when the patch will be released?

Will probably stop base building in the mean time then and come find you guys for some action!

The dayzmod guys claim Monday, we will see though they have a history of missing dates and fucking up their initial releases....

Hey Seaweed,

I think this is for the best, it allows everyone to be back on a level playing field. It should be fun come patch day all the fighting going off in Elektro/Cherno!!

Looking forward to seeing you all back online again though!

I think the most fun part will be the mad dash to grab all the vehicles, everyone going to spawn points etc it's gonna be chaos!

i think the loot reset is a good thing, there were way to many m14's and DMR's around anyway :D (people are too polite on this server :D, not that im complaining, no weapons were being removed from the loot pool by burying bodies).

Looks cool, only 1 question, will you remove the tents or do you mean remove the gear from inside? Also would like to suggest that containers on top of tents shouldn't be allowed ( now it is like I stack 5 containers on top of eachother and no nobody can't get in my vault anymore ) but I don't know how others think about that.

Would it be possible as soon as the released new loot tables are out to post them somewhere or something like that? I saw they added multiple chopper crashes tables so mayby something can be done with that ( now we have the A10 + chopper crashes but could even diverse it more perhaps ).

I'd rather wipe them all tbh, we have absolutely hundreds of tents people like to abuse glitches with the place tent button and get multiples, it'd be nice to have it totally fresh. Especially with the new stashes etc on the way too.

Half the fun of a new loot table is finding out what has changed, it would be boring if I just told you guys everything and where to find it. I will point out major changes I'm sure though and of course make my own....

Yea, that's true :p

Stashes won't be used a lot though I think because you can only put 1 weapon inside.

if someone wants your stuff bad enough, they will sit there with toolboxes and get through all 5. Its also a waste of time for you to stack 5 containers on your tent.

Id say let them built it the way they want. Nothing is 100% secure if the intruder wants it bad enough.

Yeah more than likely at least some kind of warning, if it comes out Monday I will get back from work about 5pm and take the server down to set everything up. More details will be on the forum on Monday as I might need to wait for a Reality update before I can patch the server... I'll give you guys warning of when it's coming back up and what time.

I'm pretty sure anyone who has died more than 20 times in this game wont care about the whole wipe. It's basically just like dieing on a larger scale. :D
Looking forward to discovering the new loot tables. I can see it making the game a bit more refreshing.

I also think stashes will be great. I would love to have one along the paths I normally roll along full of rabbit, meds + a backup gun if I die and want to gear up fast. A lot of people dont seem to be happy with them but I can see it giving me something to do for a while when im fully geared up.

Yeah definitely not today I've not read anything to indicate it's gonna happen till this dude gets back from E3 either. Dayzmod guys are a joke when it comes to release dates and so is letting steam hold up your releases. No one even uses steam to install/update dayz.

Don't know why people even talk about release dates when they are unsure, never turns out good :(

If it's on time, it's ok cause evreone espected it but when it's too late you dissapoint people, really a joke indeed^^

Had a 2 day brake in my exams so was really hoping for it to come out today but nope :(

Didn't really feel like during the exams + knew 1.7.7 was on the way so :)
