I know I've been promising you guys events for ages now, the reason we have not proceeded with survivor games as we had previously planned is down primarily to the current server. The last SG took a lot of time to get organised and admin'd and I'd hate to put all that effort in only for the server to fall over or have so much desync it was not playable.

So we won't be having an 35 man + events until we get the new host sorted. That's not to say we can have some fun though...

I don't mind what we do, 2 team events are probably the easiest to organize though I do have some tools in place to make the whole event process a lot easier. Lets use this thread to see how much interest there is and toss some ideas around on what you guys all want to do.

Attacking/Defending a static location is the easy option and something we have done in the past so we could do this again. We could have a smaller scale SG type event I guess. Here's some cool things I can definitely provide you guys with for whatever event we have.

- I can easily spawn you vehicles specifically for the event, including tanks apaches and all that hacker shit
- I can spectate players :O this means I could livestream the whole event (more likely I would record it because of stream snipers) and upload it later for everyone to see different peoples perspectives.
- I can set teams up in different skins and with different loadouts relatively quickly

It's been too long since we had a big event and I would definitely like to change that, the more people we can get on board the better as far as I'm concerned. The only requirements are that everyone participating has teamspeak and aren't a little kid. Start time would probably be Saturday afternoon/evening, the more of you who post in this thread the better.

I'm down. Winner gets an Apache to use in the main server till it gets destroyed...probably not, would be fun though. But I do think there definitely should be some kind of reward to use during regular game-play for the winners of these events. Maybe BB supplies, or Ghillies, or Soldier Skins, or a LB.

hehe a little bird would get destroyed within five minutes , i'd be up for playing... if my finals didn't start in 2 weeks

Attack/Defend sounds good. Could maybe try a King of the hill thing though I haven't thought too much about how that could be done.

Only Lee Enfields
Pretty self explanatory. All players spawn in the same area inside a safe zone. with nothing but a Lee Enfield, 3 mags and a bandage.

This is the only weapon you can carry. You cannot carry a sidearm (maybe, might be too hard, opinions?).

While inside the safe zone, you may not attack another player. When everyone is ready the will be a 60 second countdown and the safe zone will disappear and players can decide to try to shoot or to run.

This playing area could be a mid sized area with quite a lot of residential/farm loot e.g. 1 quarter of the map, or the center, causing more of a survivally, drawn out game.
Or it could be a much smaller arena sized area with PvP starting much earlier and the game ending a lot quicker.
(Extra idea: maybe allow to pick up hand grenades and smokes.)

Omen vs Everyone
Give Omen (or another member of SNM!/killing machine) a ghillie, Coyote/Czech, and loadout of his choice (2 primaries allowed). Anything at all. Everything.
Spawn everyone else with British Assualt Pack low to mid range weapons some food and other supplies, and a compass.
You may not kill other players. You must choose to go it alone or with other players.
Be the last survivor or kill Omen to win.
Area could get smaller every time someone dies.

Alterntive: Fugitive
SNM! gears up a member and drops them in the wilds alone on foot and release updates of his location every 5-10 minutes. Winner keeps the gear over to normal server.

Everybody vs AI
Similar to above. Give AI stupidly good aim. Make everyone have to team up in order to kill every last one in order to win (or just survive). Get every clan together in meaningless fun.

Race
A race from point A to point B. Could be via checkpoints. Could be satchel charges placed in secret areas or other obstacles.
Players could decide to pick a vehicle of their choice or could decide on one beforehand.

Squad PvP in major cities
Basicly what the title says. Cherno, Elektro, Berezino. Could remove zombies. Can't leave city. Full loadouts.
Could even have it like a knockout competition. With a finals in a large area (Berezino, The airfields etc).

Braveheart
AI spawn en masse in Braveheart skins. The majority of them only have hatchets or crowbars. Some have crossbows. Few have mid range weapons. It's a competition to see who can get the most kills. Players kills get logged to a league table. After all AI have been eradicated the top 3 K:D get a prize. Play kills reset you to 0.
Could take place in various areas.

Cross Country
A group have to get a vehicle from one side of the map to the other evading or countering ambushes. Players cannot spawn within 8km (up for debate) of the start point. Custom loadouts.

CTF
Between Cherno and Elektro. Basic loadouts.

Team Deathmatch
2 Large teams. Custom loadouts but limits on guns depending on rarity/lethality.

Some awesome ideas up there Tom, we'll definitely try and do some of them. I also want to see a giant Crossbow fight.

I especially like the scavenger hunt idea, I think that could potentially run on for a long time but could be just as fun as a survivor games style event. I could update the chat as each player acquires one of the items they need, meaning those who still needed them knew who to hunt down Fugitive sounded really fun too.

We will also definitely have some kind of race, probably after all the killing is over. I don't have AI configured for the events server currently, maybe for the next one though I'm not sure how well the ARMA AI would cope with melee weapons though lol.

If we are doing some kind of Attack/Defend thing where one team attacks and one defends what location do you guys want to try? We've done devils castle before (way too OP for defenders) and that random blown up town south of Guglovo.

I need to speak to the SNM! dudes still to see who is available Saturday we'll probably start in the evening I'll post a proper time later/Saturday morning.

CTF I think sounds like it could be a good laugh, but rather than having a flag, have a player. Protect your VIP or try to hunt down the other teams VIP.

On a minor note and somewhat noobie question, would Humanity be disabled for the event?

Also would it defo be Saturday or Sunday? Make a pole maybe of what kind of event and time?

It'll be on a separate server so player stats etc will be unaffected.

Polana factory would be an interesting attack and defend area.
Make the attackers have an objective like popping a red smoke in the 2nd floor or something.

We'll start with something fun like a dog fight 1 plane each all with a ton of machine gun ammo, then I think we'll try either the scavenger hunt or capture the VIP for the main event

2 teams, one player from each team is the VIP and has to be guarded by the opposing team in their base. Objective is to release and defend your VIP and bring them back to your base.
