Sad news, I wish I could volunteer for Admin but I don't know if I could handle the commitment since its one of the things one must follow through with..
So Thank you Seaweed for the time I did get to play on this amazing server and the community I met here.

After AC:Darktide winded down in 2003 I never thought I'd find an experience like that again, thanks for proving me wrong.

Thanks for hosting such a great place to play DayZ dude, I can say without doubt there is no better dayz community and dont think there ever will be.

Youve given so many players somewhere to enjoy the game on a level playing field, all I can say is thanks for your commitment and dedication to doing that mate. You are a top admin, regardless of any of the bull people try and pass off as truth, we the community know that there isnt anyone better, more proactive and honest out there than you.

Im sure most players have got great memories of things theyve done on Zerosurvival, I know the SFG guys have loads. If there ever is a Zerosurvival SA server you know we will all be back.

I think its a little Seaweed's fault that he tried to talk with everybody. With every single player. Everyday! and thats why he had no time for anything else.

It was good for everybody but not for u (Seaweed).


We all know that u have the best server and ofc we all are not ready to say bb ^^


Maybe we should talk about solution? How to make his life easier?

For example...

Problem with hackers! <-- many of players on ZeroSurvival are regular (fair) players, so maybe its possible to make something like "whitelist". If u re not on list, u cant join. If some randoms wanna join to server, let him write about it on forum.

Problem with combatloggers/glitchers/hackers <-- When u see sb combatlogging..., dont ask Seaweed on TS, make a TOPIC ON FORUM! and wait (1-3-7 days or more!) <-- and ofc other Admins can read this not only Seaweed...

And ofc sth about duping, almost all players know rules, so if Seaweed for example will check some part of logs sometimes, maybe he will find "dupers".


What do u think Seaweed? It is possible to do?

Maybe other players have other ideas!?

I fully understand Seaweeds decision and I fully respect it.
Good job, I really enjoyed time spent on zerosurvival. After playing here I see it from whole new perspective what a good admin means. I've never seen guy so much dedicated to his server. Sadly nothing lasts forever(or maybe that's actually good). I knew that it's going to happen one day. Well, thanks for great time!

Can't use that few days left as I'm abroad but I'll be back at last day to kill everybody and say goodbye. :)

I have been thinking about this for a long time, even though this thread may seem sudden. I have considered all alternatives I could think of to closing the server and there are none that are suitable to me. We were a whitelisted server for over a year, it does not stop hackers besides the obvious and easy to catch ones.

Really we need 3-4 extra Seaweeds and have needed them for a long time, finding suitable and trustworthy enough people is impossible now and would take months to complete.

Ahhhh this is awful news, it's going to be hard going back to playing on regular servers after my time on ZS :(

Maximum respect for your decision Seaweed, you're the best admin I've ever seen run anything but if you don't enjoy doing it any more then no one can expect you to carry on. At least this gives you more time to play the game we all love :) hopefully I'll run into you in Chenarus sometime.

Thanks to everyone else who plays here for all the various happenings over my time here. I'm sure I'll see a few of you on other servers.

I'm fairly new to both this server and Dayz. But I've had an absolute blast playing this past 3 weeks and will continue to play until it closes down. (Bandits take notice, I am easy to kill, Come get some!) I often group up with friends and this server quickly became our standard one because it just held up above any other European server we could find. I seriously had so much fun the recent dayz playing that I'm having a hard time grasping that some of the crazy events actually happen in-game.

sad to see this happen but understand the reasoning. It has been an awesome time playing/killing and getting killed with all you guys. Thank you seaweed for all the hard work and good laughs we had. Whitelisting doesn't stop hackers, we were a whitelisted server for a long time, it would also cripple the player count. Plus I would still have to admin the server every single day just as I have to now. Sorry guys but I'm sick of it, I spent a long time building up this servers name and reputation and I would rather it comes to an end than have that reputation damaged simply because I'm tired of running it.

Well, I must say, I just created an account after joining the server for the first time an hour ago and falling in love immediately. The community is great, and the server is just as great.

I am not a veteran by any stretch of the imagination with the DayZ mod, but I have been playing for a while and know a good server when I see one. It is so hard to find *vanilla* full day/night hardcore-ish servers out there. This is the first one I have found that is just fantastic.

I want to say that I am sad to hear that the server will be shutting down, especially since I have had no time to play on it.

Also, though I am not a grounded member of this community, I love the idea of finding new servers to play on and enjoy together. If anyone knows any DayZ servers that even compare to this one, I am all ears. It's so hard, as I said, to find active servers that don't give you extra loot and load-outs and turn off the day/night cycle. Ugh.

I might not have the connection to this server all of you have, but I am nonetheless super sorry to hear about the closing down of Zero Survival. May it RIP.

If anybody needs a break it's you man. I completely understand and support your decision.

Thank you so much for all the hard work and time you have put into this server over the last year and beyond. I have made great friends and had some of the best times playing a game on this server and with this community, none of which could have happened without you.

It would be great to keep ZeroSurvival alive as a gaming community and I plan to get back into it a bit more now that I have finished college for the summer etc.
