I've never expected donations to keep the server running, I'm well aware that is almost impossible to run a server for free unless you start doing game breaking things like offering free gear to donors. Some servers even let people buy helicopter spawns! I'm sure its very lucrative but that's never been what ZS is about. I have never had a problem footing the bill each month and as long as the enjoyment I get out of running the server outweighs any financial costs there is no worry about us going anywhere.

Yesterday someone very kindly inquired about the server hosting costs and donations. I've posted some details before but I'll post them again. The server(s) (gameserver + teamspeak/webserver) cost me € 71.90 (£60) per month. Upon hearing this the person inquiring very generously donated enough to cover a full months hosting costs.

I wanted to post this here not only to publicly thank this person but also to remind others there is a donation button up there. I know we saw plenty of donations when it first went up but in the last 3 months we've had just two.

Regardless of donations I will always do my best to keep the server running but it certainly makes things easier. Thanks again to the person who sparked this thread, and also thanks to everyone for making this community so awesome.

More than the next 2 Months paid for now thanks to another couple of donations, now if you'll excuse me I'm off to find some cocaine and hookers....
