- Street Lights and House Lights Enabled - Enabled the old house lights mod we had on here before + a new one for street lights too. Feedback is appreciated not sure if it's going to stay yet need to monitor performance and hear what you guys think about it first

I thought about putting that back on earlier, it used to get complained about though

Might throw a poll up and also maybe enable it only for when you are a fresh spawn...

i hated that thing.

too big of a chance on someone seeing me logging in and me not being able to do anything until the animation is over with.

its also pretty lame because for a second or 2 upon log on, you get a big aerial view of your surroundings which can be used to your advantage.

would love to see it for fresh spawns only.
if survivor time < 2 min

That animation was OP. I got 2 kills from that just by logging in after hiding in high traffic locations :D

- Biplanes and PBX's get their guns back! - Someone found a way to get the old code we previously used to add guns to vehicles working under 1.7.7.1. I have added the 249 saw back to the biplane and the PBX. However to me it feels a lot tougher to aim without a crosshair than previously. I think a weapon with tracers like the m240 would help. It's up to you guys though try it out and let me know what you think.

Biplane with m240? So...many...explosions. If the m249 is as hard to aim as you say then tracers might be a nice buff.

- Moved to 3 hourly server restarts - I've never noticed degraded performance before restarts even at 6 hour intervals, however I would like to see what sort of difference 3 hourly restarts make to things. I've switched the restarts to happen every 3 hours but may up them to every 4 in future....

on a side note, i love the street lights but the house lights are really glitchy and flicker and are buggy from a distance. the streetlights, however, are sexy as hell.

ran the mod on the test server but the grass was exactly the same, not sure if i need to run it serverside too but its meant to be client only....

- Lowered loot spawn bias - The loot spawn bias is used in a calculation by the spawn loot code since 1.7.7 to determine if loot will spawn. We were at 70% default dayz is 67%, I have lowered the bias back down to 67%.
- Spawn rate adjustments - I have made small adjustments to many of the loot tables to rebalance some items. You should find less G17 pistols for example.

Feedback on these new loot tables is as always encouraged. Remember though that you cannot judge an entire loot table on one loot run, base your comments on multiple loot runs and give examples. Use this thread for feedback - viewtopic.php?f=20&t=636 and remember I update the tables regularly so make sure you are talking about the current loot table.

- Military loot bugfix! - I typo on my part in the military and helicrashEAST crash site tables had caused a couple of pretty big issues. The error was on a line that was adding the SVD NSPU variant. The problem caused that item and all items below it in the table not to spawn. No errors were showing as a result of it but the problem was causing the following:

- SVD NSPU wasn't able to spawn
- SVD has a reduced chance to spawn
- No trash or generic items in the military (firestations tents) and helicrashEAST crashsites. This means no cans, bandages no random ammo and shit, strictly weapons.
- A few other missing items like British assault packs are now back in the loot tables.

- Reverted to server restarts every 6 hours - I wasn't seeing any noticeable performance differences restarting the server every 3 hours instead of every 6. Possibly once population is higher we may need more regular restarts. Until then though I would rather not cause peoples bodies to disappear and all the crash sites to be reset so regularly.
- Fixed bug which was allowing basebuilding items to take damage - It was previously possible under 1.7.7.1 to damage basebuilding items with weapons or explosions. This problem has now been fixed and the only way to break into a base is with air vehicles or toolboxes again.

- Loot spawns updated - Updated the loot table for the toilets at Stary and the troll barracks at NWAF and NEAF. Both now spawn MilitarySpecial (barracks grade) loot instead of normal Military loot. They each have a single loot point.
- Crash sites updated - Added 1 additional random loot point to crash sites
- Additional loot table tweaks - Run around and find out what they are!

- NWAF and NEAF Updated - I've added 8 toilets to NEAF and 6 toilets to NWAF, these have their own loot table. At the moment the toilet loot table is very similar to that of the barracks, with different trash loot ;) I will be balancing it over the next few days so feedback is appreciated.

- Self Blood Bagging Tweaked - Eberteby came up with a fantastic (imo) idea for the use of self bloodbagging. The changes mean that you will not see a self bloodbag option UNLESS

You have a bloodbag in your inventory and you are at a location that spawns medical loot - A hospital or a medical tent
OR
You have a bloodbag in your inventory and you are near the Land_tent_east basebuilding tent

So if you don't like going to cities to self bloodbag you can always build a tent at your camp but you can't just use self bloodbag whilst in the middle of a fight (unless you are fighting in a hospital).

It could be an interesting game changer.

Groups of players will likely team up to hide and build land tents across the map in "secret" locations. These will probably just get left open for ease of access since they hold nothing of worth.
So once you stumble across them out in the wilderness you can go back to them when you need to use one.

I'm up for giving this a run for a while and seeing how i like it. Though self bloodbag has saved my life a few times now.

Every change I make to the server is subject to the opinions of our players. If the change proves unpopular it can be reverted back to how it was before but we will need more feedback on the forums first from other players.

Personally I have never felt self bloodbagging is part of the true spirit of the game, I can understand why lone wolfs enjoy it but I also spectate a lot of people who will use it during combat situations or as a resolution to other issues like lack of food. I think its too easy right now, especially when we have heroes on the server most hours of the day who will happily bloodbag folks.

I like this very much! I hated self bloodbaging since it came. Made things so easy. Yesterday In the huge fight MM had against several mixed players, I had to run around like a "medic" down there. I used a total of 5 bloodbags on my teammates during fight. Its a cool feature while fighting imo.
AND, without being able to self bloodbag during a fight, it makes rabbit hunting valuable again<3

Yeah that's pretty much how I feel about it too, makes things way too easy. From spectating I would see people regularly self bloodbagging when they got to like 8k blood. People would just self bloodbag and then go straight back to whatever they were doing. It's much more fun to have hunting back imo and have a reason to collect meat again. It was also insanely lame when people would self BB in the middle of firefights, people even used it when they had clan mates around who could have bloodbagged them.
