I have created a script for the members of ZeroSurvival that will allow you to easily create official Arma 2 squads and use it in DayZ or Wasteland or any other Arma mod.

You must be logged in to our forums to manage your squad and everything is pretty self explanatory.

Your Squad URL
At the top of the page you will receive a URL in a text box.
All the members of your squad must put that URL in their profile in Arma.

Squad Logo
Your squad logo will be visible in the player list and also on the sides of most of the vehicles you drive in game.
Logo must be 256x256 and in PAA format.
Download the Arma image converter attached to this thread to convert your JPG or TGA to PAA files.
Just open Your 256x256 JPG or PNG image and then Save As PAA and upload the PAA file to your squad manager. Done.


Adding Members To Your Squad
You have to add each member and their Profile ID.
Their name must match exactly as it is in game.
See this video for information on how to get your Profile ID

no problem. i should have image uploading working pretty soon. then your logo will be displayed on the sides of most vehicles you drive.

nice man! i had a real problem getting the logo to work, when i used dropbox (should work in theory) it wouldnt load the image in-game.
i used the same image.paa and upped it to a free hosting site along with my .xml, bam, it worked fine.

this should make it alot easier!

I've also tried getting this to work.
I've tried it as a 256 x 256 .jpg and .paa
It wont work for me. Everything is showing (clan name, clan website, clan tags) apart from the image.
I even downloaded BITools, so i could use "texview2" to convert it to .paa
The image/decal just refuses to work.

I can't view PAA files here at work so can't look at your latest upload till later, the first jpeg looked like it was 320 x 320 pixels though instead of 256x256 try the attached.

If not I'm sure Omen will be able to debug for you

Now it looks like you uploaded a PAA file. Remember to keep the image under 256px x 256px.

There may be a bug or 2 still so let me know if you have any issues and we can test tonight if need be.

I will try tonight with a test account.

I can try messing with the squad image path in the XML file but I will need you to test it in game. I am connected to the server via RCON and I can talk to you and see if it works. Just let me know if you can do that now, or I can just take care of it later tonight when I get home.

Right now there is no leading slash.

I want to test "with" the leading slash "/logos/570.jpg"

and also the full path to the logo "http://www.zerosurvival.com/squads/logos/570.jpg"

You need to go into the squad manager and get the new squad xml URL. It has changed and your old URL will not work.

updated the squad xml file. i am hoping this will solve the issues where you see "no texture loaded" when you open the player list and there are squads who dont have a squad image.

i might add more info for players if there is any interest in it.
